Interview

When Lydie started her university journey in France, studying didn’t come easy. Remembering everything, staying consistent, and finding a method that worked felt like a constant uphill battle. But instead of giving up, she started sharing her story to motivate others—and eventually discovered a tool that transformed her approach: Dende.

In this interview, Lydie shares how active recall and smart routines helped her take back control of her studies, one flashcard at a time.

Hi Lydie! Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your study journey?

I’m Lydie, a 22-year-old student in France. I started sharing my study journey to motivate others not to give up on their studies. I struggled for a long time to find my path—I even had to start everything over from scratch. That experience made me realize how important it is to have the right mindset and tools when studying.

What was the biggest challenge for you before using Dende?

Honestly, remembering everything. I really struggled to keep all the information in mind. I felt like I was constantly reviewing but forgetting things just as quickly. Since discovering Dende, that changed—I now practice active recall every day to make sure everything sticks.

❛❛ Thanks to Dende, I could remember both the questions and the answers during the actual exam. I also use flashcards a lot, which helped me get familiar with the types of questions I might face. ❜❜

How did you first find out about Dende?

I discovered it in February 2025. I was actively searching for new ways to learn more effectively, especially something that could help me with long-term memory. When I came across Dende, I immediately knew I wanted to give it a try.

How do you use Dende in your daily routine?

I use it for about 20 minutes every day after school to review the lessons I learned that day. During exam periods, I rely on it even more—I start my mornings with it to make sure I remember everything clearly before heading into exams.

Has Dende helped you in real exam situations?

Yes, absolutely. There were even a few exams where I had to skip certain lessons, and I ended up discovering that content while practicing on Dende. Thanks to that, I could still remember both the questions and the answers during the actual exam. I also use flashcards a lot, which helped me get familiar with the types of questions I might face.

If you had to describe Dende in three words, what would they be?

Easy, challenging, efficient.

And finally—what would you say to someone who’s thinking about trying it?

Try it! It will change your life.
