Are you looking for a definitive guide to a successful AI study plan

You’ve found it: in this blog post I’ll show you how – what I like to call the ‘dende method‘ – can help you create an effective study plan that will maximize your learning and improve your academic performance.

This is the 5-step method:

  1. Organizing your study materials
  2. Active study
  3. Create your study tools
  4. Review the study material
  5. Monitoring your study progress

1. Organize your study materials

Anatomy, physics, mathematical analysis… Yep, those exams can be pretty daunting. That’s why organization of study materials is crucial to maximize time and understanding.

The first step of your study plan is to collect all the necessary materials: grab your class notes, outlines, textbooks, and any other helpful documents. Having everything in one spot sets you up for a solid study session.

Once you’ve got your materials together, it’s time to set them up. That’s where dende’s Concept feature comes in handy. This smart tool can automatically extract concepts and macro topics from your documents, providing a clear and structured overview of the topics covered.

Identifying the key concepts on which to focus the most allows you to optimize your study time by focusing on the most important topics without you having to spend hours spotting them.

2. Active study

After organizing your study materials, you can go into the actual study.

Let’s make an example: you have to study 20 chapters of Anatomy (I know, we are talking about thousands of pages to study). You can’t just read and memorize: put in place what I like to call “active study.”

More than simply reading and rereading study materials, active study involves actively applying concepts and making meaningful connections between information.

Turn complex concepts into diagrams or concept maps. These graphic visualizations help you organize information clearly and identify relationships between concepts. Use colors, arrows and symbols to highlight connections and facilitate understanding.

Spend time studying concepts in depth. Use additional study sources, such as alternative textbooks or online resources, to gain a more complete understanding of the topics covered. Ask questions, research insights, and take advantage of available resources to develop a clear and detailed understanding of topics

3. Create your study tools

At this point, move on to step 3: the creation of study tools like flashcards and MCQs.

  • How to study with flashcards

Flashcards are a powerful tool for memorizing key information effectively and quickly.

Here’s how you can use dende to integrate flashcards into your study plan:

  • Active learning: are you on the subway, train or too tired to study new topics?

Grab a bunch of flashcards and challenge yourself. This allows you to keep your brain active, even when you’re not in front of books, and constantly refresh your memory.

  • Periodic review: schedule periodic review sessions using flashcards. Repeat the flashcards at increasingly longer time intervals to strengthen long-term memory.

For example, if you created flashcards for key terms in an Anatomy course, schedule weekly review sessions to keep the concepts fresh in your mind.

  • Team practice: organize group study sessions where students can exchange and test their flashcards.

This not only provides an opportunity for collaborative learning, but also for identifying gaps in understanding and clarifying any doubts.

  • Study and review with multiple-choice quizzes

If you have a lot of stuff to study, it is important that you constantly test your preparation

Use dende to create multiple-choice quizzes based on your study materials. You can combine this feature with Concept which generates quizzes focused only and exclusively on a specific topic. That’s perfect for focused review, right?

After answering each question, take advantage of the instant feedback provided by dende. This is one of the most appreciated features by our students! Because it allows you to immediately understand the mistakes you make and correct your gaps.

The instant feedback helps you focus on the topics that require more study and guides you on your study path.

4. Review the study material

Now it’s time for the review step. After you have completed quizzes and flashcards, it’s moment to delve further into your understanding of the concepts and consolidate the knowledge you have gained.

The Reread feature provides a valuable opportunity to review questions you have answered incorrectly. This tool automatically collects all incorrect questions and provides you with the ability to view the last answer given to each one.

In the Reread feature, after answering a question you can choose between two options:

  1. Reread: this option allows you to open the document to the exact page where the correct answer is found. In this way, you can check and review the explanation, helping you to better understand the concept and memorize it more effectively.
  2. Try again: if you want to try the question again, you can select the “Try again” option. This allows you to go through the same question a second time and see if you have improved your understanding of the concept. By repeating the exercise, you have the opportunity to fix any mistakes in real time.

💡 Did you know that… the Reread feature is also available during quiz mode, giving you the option of directly accessing the relevant document and page after receiving feedback on the answer.

5. Track your study progress

Consider including this last step in your study plan: monitoring your progress

I know, it may seem pointless, but it’s actually essential to measure the effectiveness of your study techniques you have adopted and to identify areas that need further work.

With dende, you can keep track of your progress over time. Keep an eye on your quiz scores and see how they improve as you continue to study and practice.

You also have a score in the Concept section that allows you to clearly see if and how you are improving in your study sessions.

AI study plan: a quick summary

So, to recap, this 5-step study plan includes:

  1. Organization of study materials: collect all your notes, outlines, textbooks and other relevant materials. Use dende’s Concept feature to automatically extract concepts and macro topics from your documents. Identify the key concepts you focus on most.
  2. Active study: turn identified concepts into diagrams or concept maps to visualize relationships between information and facilitate understanding. Spend time on in-depth study of concepts, using additional study sources if necessary for complete understanding.
  3. Create study tools: use dende to create flashcards containing key information and key concepts to review and memorize information more efficiently. Generate quizzes on dende using the prepared study materials. These quizzes will allow you to test your understanding of concepts and identify areas that require further study.
  4. Study and review: regularly repeat concepts you have already studied, focusing on areas that need more attention and using Dende’s reread function to review important information
  5. Progress monitoring: use dende to monitor your quiz scores and observe how they improve over time. Evaluate your progress regularly and adjust your study plan accordingly.

By following this structured study plan and integrating the use of dende, you can optimize your study time and improve your preparation for challenging exams. Have a good study session!
